The Gateway Art & Design qualifications are intended to provide pupils with a broad introduction to the art and design sector, equipping pupils with underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector alongside a range of transferable employability skills. They are designed to support progression to further pupils and ultimately to work in art and design or other related sectors.
Pupils will work towards a portfolio of work which cover key subjects such as using craft skills, using a variety of medias to produce work, colour, tone, drawing skills, size and scale. They will also look at various roles within the Art & Design industry and using the experience of all tutors and support staff pupils will undertake projects that involve, graphic design, photography, illustration and other traditional methods of Art & Design.

- Produce Craft Work
- Introduction to Mixed Media in 2D
- Explore Mixed Media
